Is Uber firing employees just to make room for cheaper international labor?

Uber has doubled their H1-B visas...seems suspicious. What do you all think?

    Is corporate international labor really cheaper? I thought that was only really applicable for blue collar workers.

    They're about to hire 3000 employees in Dallas for their new massive hub. All these layoffs are window dressing for Wall Street since they're being pushed to be profitable first time ever. Not going to happen!
