How many people did Uber fire? Does anyone remember? I think I remember they were one of the companies who just fired a bunch of people on a zoom call... ouch.
Uber has been going downhill for years now. I am just waiting for them to eventually get run over by a fast new young start up. People are tired of Uber and with Covid I bet a lot of people would be in the right mindframe to try a new company once things start to open back up. The switching cost is not going to seem so big after not taking rideshares for a year.
Can you really blame them though? They have lost billions this year, of course they need to make cuts and hire cheap labor.
