I really liked the way you explained the different machine learning algorithms, and its interesting how each one fits a different type of problem depending on the data and the outcome you are aiming for. I have noticed the same thing when comparing simpler models to more complex ones sometimes the straightforward approach works best, especially when you need clarity and quick results, like when I was reading about a similar case involving 5thaxis in a workflow discussion. Your post made me think about how important it is to match the algorithm with the real world need rather than just choosing the most advanced option. which algorithm do you personally find yourself returning to most often when starting a new project?
Is grab working on self driving cars at all? If so they will def be using it there...
I'm sure all the rideshare companies are using big data similarly. Predicting high traffic times, driver behavior, etc. Using it to inform upfront pricing. Machine learning is excellent for optimizing revenue.
