UberXL and UberSUV are for 6 passengers (not counting the driver)
UberXL and UberSUV offer the largest vehicles, and they can hold 6 passengers not counting the driver. If your party is larger, say 7, you will not be able to utilize these services, hence you may need to order two cars.
Some of the UberXL and UberSUV cars can hold 7 passengers, such as Escalade and Suburban. However, the drivers are allowed to decline service and cancel the ride if they come up and you insist that your party get on. You can take a chance at asking the driver, maybe?
In most cities, taxis offer van service, but they often only seat 6 passengers as well.
If ordering two cars is cost prohibitive, you may want to order an official van service or an airport shuttles. Those vehicles can often carry more, albeit the fact you may have to pay per passenger.
