What a great question.
I don't have a great answer. LOL. I have more than 2000 rides, and I still don't know.
Those are the rides I try to not think about and reason I need a big pint of beer at the end of a shift.
I don't think liability works like that. You ask, so you are immediately absolved of your responsibilities? No way. Maybe if the person lied, but not if they don't have an ID.
Hahaha, so true. and crooks ruin it for everyone again!
Oh man, they were just about to open shop in Boston and now this?
They are super careful about it though. Starting with a pilot, and helmets are REQUIRED. So much for the convenience. Not that I don't believe in helmets, it's this sort of barrier that iwll make or break this from taking off.
I think it's a nice gesture. but I see your point.
Similar topic. LOL.
Zimmerman Reed is the company that was running a class action suit against Uber on the "Hell" software, which was a spyware that was tracking Lyft usage on people's phones.
Oh, it looks like Uber won. https://www.law.com/therecorder/2018/09/27/judge-hands-uber-win-in-lyft-drivers-suit-over-hacked-mobile-app/?slreturn=20190101165626
I haven't heard the recent updates on the "employee or contractor" discussion. There are many other lawsuits happening around this, so I would be careful of jumping into talking with lawyers without doing some research first. Remember many bodily injury law firms are ambulance chasers and are always looking for a fight.
yes, 18 and 19-year olds.
Didn’t one of the major companies declare they’ll start shutting down plants for gas vehicles? Only gonna be making electric vehicles very soon
It was Chevy or GM, maybe? I remember Truml being angry about it.
What's the question?
This thread has links to how-to docs for Uber and Lyft
This video makes it look like the competition is us holding the phone in our hand. Do they think there is no other hands-free methods?
Haven't you guys all heard of private drivers who drive for super rich people? and how they are told to speed, break rules, and everything, because all the expenses, legal fees, and tickets are worth it to important people. They are willing to pay for those because their time is worth lots of money.
Love it. Good luck! I will make sure to use it when I am there next.
Any promo codes?
With millions of Uber rides a day, I guess a coincidence likes this is bound to happen.
This story sounds a bit made up though. The lack of details makes me wonder. I feel like it's some purposeful attempt by Newsweek to warn cheating spouses.
Uber Works sounds like WeWorks, a rental offices for startups.
@Matthew LOL. I wanna hear more ridiculous examples of when you were rated 1-star. We should start a collection.
This is sexist, because if a woman masterbated in the car and a man used a pepperspray, he'd be put in jail immediately.
