yeaha, that whole upfront pricing bit was spun as something nice and noble for users who wanted to know about the fare beforehand. but the truth was that Uber wanted to charge more money and not base it on publicly posted fares.
This is much closer to getting quotes from Limos companies.
and it's worse because Uber will charge you whatever they want to. whatever you are willing to pay. and it'll be different betweeen personal and business travelers, rich and poor, affluent neighborhood to poorer neighborhood, time of day, etc.

GPS is way smarter than any experienced drivers now. Plus, you as a driver is expected to follow the GPS to stick with Uber's upfront pricing and for liability purposes, i.e. rider accusing you of doing something shady.d
I have iPad mounted on the dash for GPS purposes. For safety, I try to keep my iPhone in my pocket. So.it'd be nice to use Uber on the iPad, right?

They have cops patrolling that area, because it used to be a problem where people will pull over on the grass and try to take pictures. I rarely seen people there now, but don't do it!

I think that's the case in most states. but remember, this isn't your house either. plus you are providing a service. and you are getting paid. All these things I think change things.
