  I have heard in NYC you do not need a child seat in a taxi. I think that is crazy. Why should a taxi have different rules than any other car?

  This is really interesting, I cannot see why this would impact your rating. I wonder if drivers are more tired after long trips and hence rate slightly lower just based on their own mood?

  As a frequent rider I don't see anything wrong with letting the passenger know. Most will think it is kind of exciting and ask what you think so far, etc.

  uh, that is just terrible. I don't get crimes like this, why would he just stab a random lyft driver?! This country NEEDS better mental healthcare.

  No! What you said above seems totally reasonable at least to me. I get what Chelly is saying, I hate the *hints* too but by just being factual and answering a question I think that is completely legit. It is the drivers who find a way to very obviously hint about tips.

  Wow, these stories are all so intense.

  First question: Did the passenger in the first story really just walk away to hail another cab? I mean I know he/she probably had places to go but I don't think I would just leave like that!

  Second: How do you file to get compensated for lost wages? I never knew that was possible.

  Do something on the side like music, art, business podcast, etc that you can slip into convo with your pax. it will increase business making your Uber a moving sales pitch.
