You should not be worried about being recorded, if you are not doing anything wrong. Most drivers state it's for their safety purposes (as some have already mentioned here) so you can bet that the recording will not go anywhere. I know in the past there have been stories.. but I think that is rare.
How did the minor even create an account? Don't you have to say your age when you sign up? Sounds like in that case it wasn't on the driver.
It's for passengers. They might roll out a similar feature for drivers in the future, because they could also potentially be in a dangerous situation too.

Hard to say, but probably not. Some places are fine operating with taxis and don't need Uber in the economy to mess that up for taxi drivers. But who knows what will happen with all these self-driving cars, flying cars, planes, jets..... Ihave no idea how people will be using transportation in 10 years!
Lyft executives seemed to be more concerned about diversity and inclusion than Uber executives, but that's just my opinion and what I see on the news.
Typically it's the customer who brings this sort of mess into an Uber car. So it was likely another passenger that the driver did not remember, so he decided to charge you guys to clean up the mess.
This is more about the data privacy issue in general, not necessarily Uber drivers showing up at your door. It's to protest consumers from their information being released to the public if the app were ever compromised
