No. Unless there is surge pricing
The fares, while can be changed for any reasons by rideshare companies, do not change from day-to-day. Hence, the base fares for Boxing Day should be the same as any other day. With that said, fares can change is there are higher demands by the riders, and this is called "surge pricing."

For taxis in some cities, there are different fares for weekends and holidays. This is clearly posted by the taxi companies. I am highly doubtful that this will double the fare though!

Yes, the surge pricing is very possible on Boxing Day. I asked around with a few Uber drivers, and they told me 3~5X surge can happen due to less cars being on the road.
