There's already a brain drain happening with the California exodus....people leaving. The next wave are busineses leaving.
There's gotta be a healthy balance across the board. It's a shame most of the drivers getting gased up by layers and unions and lobbyists don't realize the only people who gain are the unions who just want a slice of your earnings, and the politicians who jump at every opportunity to grandstand.
Once this passes, unions will automatically be entitled to 3% of your earnings right of the top...and there ain't nothing you can do about it. Be careful what you wish for...most gig workers have day jobs and like the freedom/control.
The issue here should be that drivers SHOULD keep 100% of their tips, and gig companies should NEVER double dip. Now that would be fair and equitable. If you want to be a fulltime employee...you really want to be treated like a cab driver? Again...be careful what you wish for. Don't let other people with selfish interests think for you.
