This would be amazing. Uber and Lyft would be forced to raise rates. And so be it. People have been getting their rides subsidized on the backs of drivers for this long. They can pay more.
Agree 100%.
One by one, let's go Los Angeles, let's go San Francisco
Lets Go USA. Every city in every state. We all need to stop allowing these companies treat drivers like crap!
El Monte is neighboring Los Angeles if they can do it we can do it wait until ab5 passes
They didnt pass it yet. I hope you are right about AB5. I still think some politicians are going to be paid off. Its the USA, thats how they do things. We will see. Start a count down thread so we know when its coming up:) If I am wrong you can say "I told you". I will admit being wrong but Uber and Lyft dont seem that worried anymore.
Believe me Uber and Lyft are plenty worried they're just going to tie it up and courts and the bill will pass it will not become law until January 2020 so they have 6 months to fight it
This all ends when auto robot taxis roam the streets. This is just some last hurrah.
😆 don't drink the uber Koolaid
Unfortunately Uber has a lot of power now. Political power. Ie. money. Maybe something like this can get passed in a few small localities but let's not get our hopes up for a widespread change.
I dont get my hopes up in anything when Uber and Lyft are involved. I think they have politicians in their pocket everywhere. Between self driving cars, spaceships, and any other BS they want to put out there. Then comes the lawsuits and politicians. No wonder they dont turn a profit. Meanwhile there stock drops, drivers get screwed, but somehow Dara and his minions make millions.
Go read my ab5 article things are about to get interesting
