PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) - Comedian Katt Williams was arrested in Portland, Oregon, after being accused of assaulting the driver taking him to a performance at the Moda Center Friday night.
The driver was treated at the hospital for minors injuries to the face, including cuts and swelling.
Williams is charged with 4th-degree assault and is being held on $2,500 bail at the Multnomah County Jail. He was also arrested for an out-of-state warrant from Georgia.

Drivers need background checks maybe riders should have them also. I know that will never happen for obvious reasons but being a driver you never know who is getting into your car and what they may be capable of. I never really thought of it that way. You could be driving a serial killer, rapist, terrorist, etc... Makes you wonder is it really worth it?
Another driver gets attacked, but Uber continues to add "safety" features for passengers while largely ignoring driver safety and painting us as criminals.
