I do not support AB5. North California is full of truckers who own their own business. Some of those started from nothing and grew their private trucking businesses to support their families. It's ridiculous how "uber" wants to complain and now it's going to affect logging companies up north. My small town revolves around logging because its surrounded by pine trees and now I do not see a future for it because all of the truckers are business owners who work to support their children and families. The AB5 bill is going to cut their income, for some families, that's their only source of income. So yeah i'm pissed about this, nothing I can really do to stop it other than never using uber or any of that bull shit ever again.
Government steps in it only makes it worse. Yes Uber and Lyft need to raise drivers rates and needs to treat drivers better. Making them employees isnt the answer. When people signed up for Uber and Lyft you knew it didnt offer benefits, workerscomp, etc... Uber and Lyft will retaliate.
