Google looking at starting fully autonomous rideshare service as soon as next year

This article claims that Google is focusing on launching an autonomous ridehsare service as early as end of 2017.

Seems like a very ambitious schedule to me. Nevertheless there is no question this is on the horizon.

    It is a sprint right now to see who can do this first! Uber and Google are big players. Is Lyft in the running to?

        Lyft is aligned with GM.  Got plenty of cars to go around.
