I recently had a medical condition that is impacting my vision. I am going to need some assistance with getting to both personal and work appointments. I do not need any physical help just the ride. What service is best if going to a DRs appointment? Biggest problem i see, is not knowing exact time I would need a ride back home. As you know sometimes it is quick and sometimes you sit waiting to be seen. Second question, What about things like going to pick up prescriptions or food shopping? Any help would be appreciated. TIA I am in the Dracut, Mass Methuen area.

For your doctor appointments, you should ask your doctor if they work with any Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) providers. These are services that might use Uber or Lyft or any number of smaller providers to get patients to and from their appointments. Often insurance will cover some of it too.
For personal appointments and stuff I would probably just use Uber. It should be readily available in your area. After your appointment you'd use the app to hail a ride home, and probably just have to wait 5-10 minutes for the ride.
