Lyft is just following Ubers initiative that advertises "local Uber driver talent" in their public relations campaign. Lyft had a music talent thingy a few weeks ago in their event here. This is probably just expanding on that.
If only these companies spent money of DRIVERS rather than recording studios, etc.

well, maybe. It doesn't cost anything to sign up. People may not choose a rideshare career out of this, but Uber drivers may, right? I mean, why not?
They probably did some research and noticed that that particular segment of drivers had a soft spot for recording studio.
...yeah, I get it. A bit weak on that argument, but...
What the heck. I don't get it. Are they going to open a drivers' art gallery too? Actually maybe they should.
Hippie blood is still strong with Lyft.
