No one has mentioned Travis Kalanick yet? Even after his demise, he is worth $4.8 billion, and he used to drive an Uber. (or at least he claimed it on Colbert show.

What makes you think cities have control over what Uber does? Uber in major cities are picking up passengers illegally, under cutting real taxi drivers. What makes you think they'll listen to, "hey, please limit your number of drivers to X"

I would actually like to say that this is obvious, but I can't put a finger on why. Perhaps beacuse older people tend to go with the mainstream and something more established. More of early adopters go with newer challengers.
