  Hey, I have noticed this too actually! I used to use Uber for Grocery store runs and while I never paid attention to my ratings, I did notice that the drivers always appeared more quiet/grumpy than usual. I have my own car now so I don't use Uber for this anymore but I did find it strange as I didn't view it any different than loading a bunch of heavy luggage into their trunk.

  Oh ya, I have heard of drivers doing this. That is so wrong. I would continue to let Lyft know the full story though I know communication with Lyft and Uber often falls on deaf ears unfortunately...

  Man, that sucks, maybe your last driver just had it out for you. Did you do anything that could have possibly annoyed the driver? Talked on your phone? Slammed a car door? Do you have a cough? etc?

  I think if you don't rate a driver they will eventually give the driver 5 stars. But the tip is weird.

  Try this:

  1. On the Home screen, tap the ‘Where To?’ text box
  2. Enter the location of the errand in the second row
  3. Tap the + sign next to the second row and add your home as the final stop

  This will essentially create a "roundtrip". Prepare for the price to be similar to what you are seeing for two trips though...
