Tesla’s Autopilot steered car toward barrier before deadly crash, investigators say
You read that right. This guy's Tesla made a decision to crash itself. Horrifying. https://www.theverge.com/2018/6/7/17438194/tesla-autopilot-fatal-crash-ntsb-report -
There is a dude who calls himself the uber dude, and this is what he does
This would drive me bananas. THis is why I don't drive for uber. Having all these people in my car. …
Lol wut
Yeah I hate to say it but this is probably what is going on. I feel bad for OP but it is better to know than to not know in the long run.
Whoa. I get that companies usually have to lose money before they can make it... but this is really jaw dropping.
The idea of driving fulltime is becoming a pipe dream. If you want to drive part time to get some money out of your car that is otherwise a money pit, then that is realistic, but there is so little profit to be made from driving anymore that as a fulltime gig I think it is basically done.
That is my first thought too, but I know smart people who have fallen for similar things like this. Usually it is when it happens at a bad time. I had a friend who fell for an ebay phishing scam email. It just so happened to come right when he was about to close out an auction for something important, so he freaked out and clicked the link in the email and filled in his username/pw so he wouldn't miss the end of the auction. Then he immediately realized what an idiot he was but it was too late.
Anyways point is it can happen to anyone under the right circumstances. Gotta be vigilant.
Yeah that's pretty much it. Doesn't guarantee rides.
In some places two routes can be completely different directions. Like a highway route can go way far from a back roads route.
They've really got an edge on Lyft in this space. ScLyft just doesn't have the same ring to it.
K. Are we supposed to care?
I suspect a lot of juicers don't really consider this too carefully. I bet it is higher than they think but I don't really know.
Ok if you can afford a McLaren, you are not driving for Uber. This is obviously a stunt.
The guy in the back punched the driver in the head from behind. Big man. Then the guy in the passenger seat decided to join in and threw the weakest punch I have ever seen. Did he even hit anything? These guys should be in jail.
I would like to say something about that picture. She obviously chose the photograph the dirtiest part of the car that she could see. With that being said, that does not really look that bad to me. I mean, if that's the worst of it? Come on. A few wood chips or whatever that is under the mat? does she realize this car has probably been driving people around for hours? sure it is not squeaky clean but give me a break and get off your high horse, stewart.
I mean, I don't think you'd be better off in CO than anywhere else where weed is legal. But yeah.
Oh ok. That makes sense. I sure hope it does the job.
They haven't reduced the number of cars right? I thought they just suspended new licenses for now. So no I don't think it will help. I wish it would. Traffic is out of control.
Not home for the scooters, home for the person charging them. I don't know where they bring them afterwards. I guess they just put them back on the street.
but I think a lot of people are just... lazy. even if they have a car they just don't want to make the trip to the store.
They crowd source this. People get paid to pick the scooters up, bring them home, and charge them. If the scooter is damaged, then they know who last used it. I assume that if it's an isolated incident, they probably just let it go. After all someone could have come along and damaged it after the last person rode it. But if the same person keeps having damaged scooters they would probably ban them eventually is my guess.
yeah this is why I avoid certain... areas of town....
