For you New Englanders, I'm just gonna leave this here... On Demand Snow Plowing!
We are completely snowed in in MA, found this article on the "Uber for Snow Plows" app called PlowzandMowz. Figured …
This is a huge win for Uber, they have been fighting for London for quite some time now.
I am 10 times more likely tip someone who wears a tie!
what do you mean by "and winging it?"
Kids probably see Uber as the app their parents use so they chooses Lyft just to be different. Lyft's marketing team should definitely capitalize on this - special promotions for college kids, etc
I would say you should tip about 15%. For short rides just give a few bucks, like $3.
this isn't Lyft's fault, its the drivers. The company did nothing wrong.
Ive never thought about this, how weird to not worry about being pulled over.
Lyft (zimrides) started the whole ridesharing thing while Uber was just doing black cars. Lyft did scheduled rides first. Lyft had in app tipping first. In my books, Uber is the copycat.
A lot of people do it but it is incredibly rude. Poor Uber driver just has to sit there and listen to your conversation. If I was a driver, I would definitely rate people lower for doing this.
read the article. This post is literally talking about how Lyft came before Uber.
I have a 4.9 and I cancel rides occasionally. Couple pieces of advice that you might not think of are to close your Uber doors softly (driver's hate having their doors "slammed"), avoid talking on your cellphone, don't bring anything smelly (food, too much perfume, etc) into the car!
Ya, wasn't there a whole lawsuit between Lyft and Uber where Lyft claimed Uber copied them or stole the idea or something?
Lyft does not give up that is for sure. I give them a lot of credit.
