Alleged.  There has got to be more to this story than meets the eye.

More likely story?  The pilot was a total jerk and said something horrible. Why would the driver even admit the reason anyway

Hey, it's not an Uber controversy for once. #DeleteLyft.  Anyone with me?!

I think we all don't care anymore. They are all the same. All crooks.  Lyft's attempt to be the good guys is over. Cover blown.

this isn't Lyft's fault, its the drivers. The company did nothing wrong.

Is the fact that this was a pilot relevant to the story?

Yes, he is better than us all. If he weren't a pilot this wouldn't have made the news.

I saw this story the other day, absolutely insane! This driver must be banned from Lyft by now, right?

Missing the point: Uber & Lyft don’t care about customers, they only see dollar amount.

I would think they would care about their image to some degree and fire this driver. I mean, you can't just have drivers abondoning passengers on the side of the road. That would definitely decrease business which would decrease dollars...

It’s a scheme to make a good chunk of cash and get out. I know it for a fact, being in taxi business for 30 years. Taxis aren’t going anywhere but copycats are just in for a steal.

Wait so you think Taxis will beat out Uber in the end? I think Uber is just going to be the next "taxi", soon it will be completely regulated, they probably will even add street hailing features and we will be right back to where we start before this whole rideshare mess.

I know so and you just said it. Except it’s going to be the other way around, taxis are getting their own app and Uber is actually using real taxis and limo style sedans, charging regulated rates in some major cities. The catch is that Uber and Lyft can and will manipulate rates based on “demand”.
