I agree with Momof4, the new preferences are all basic things that any decent driver should no within the first few seconds of the driver anyways. Always help with luggage, ask how they are and take your cues on whether they want to talk of not, play "bland music" like jack johnson, keep the car comfortable temperature wise (always air on the colder side instead of warm ) and you will be good to go!
oh strange. So it is a way for them to hide what the customers are really paying so they can get away with lower bonuses paid out to the driver?
I was looking for work and it had the lowest barrier of entry. Just pop in my car and drive. I don't mind driving but I am not one of those that loves it either, it is truly just a way to make money.
19469 miles in 2018. I only drive weekends and an occasional night here or there.
Do we know what cities this is offered in?
Right, we all know NOT to pick up street hails but if someone is offering you twice the fare amount it is hard to say no. I know many drivers who now personally know some of their frequent riders and they get paid on the side. It might not be right, but drivers have to do what drivers have to do to make a living wage.
TBH I don't really care as long as I am getting paid. Waht pisses me off is when they lower rates and both have done that so...
😂 we can share a hotel?
This is a scam drivers can do but they will get in trouble if Uber notices they are doing it multiple times so it is not really all that common. AS LG-PA said we want to end the ride, get our money, and get to the next ride! It could have just been a mistake but either way Uber should reimburse you. Though sorry you will have to deal with Uber's terrible customer service...
I have noticed business seems slower than usual - anyone else taking a break from driving? Maybe this is the perfect time for a vacation, not that I have the money... I just hate working for peanuts
I have bought this in the past and actually found it helpful. I was skeptical but my wife convinced me to buy it and they really do go very in depth on every topic. They also seem to update information as time goes on to fit Uber/Lyft changes which is helpful. In the end, I also enjoyed reading others comments and seeing collective answers to questions I didn't even think to ask. If you drive full time, I would definitely buy this at least for the resource.
Give pax snacks then charge cleanup fee 😈
Dalton told investigators he “saw the Eastern Star symbol and the devil pop up on his phone through the Uber app.”
Apparently, he claims the app possessed him. I mean it is Uber so not all that unlikely 😋
Can I smoke in here? Can I eat my tuna sandwich? Just no.
Knowing me, I would eat all the snacks, put on weight, and lose money. I guess I just don't have that kind of self control...
REally?! It takes a while for a car to get that dirty, when I drive for black I clean my car every morning before the day. Sure by the end of the day there is a little dirt on hte floor mats but this dirt looks CAKED on in the picture. And half empty bottles in the door... SMH
Wo, I had no idea this was a thing. Can you copy the email here? Super interested.
Yep this. "Drivers pocketed an average of $1,469 per month in 2014 but only $783 by 2018."
My wages have steadily gone down since starting to drive for Uber in 2015.
Raise you hand if you already knew this!!
