You know, like we traditionally used to call taxis for our guests? To be polite, of course.
Can I request a Lyft ride for house guests on my account if I am not accompanying them?
The Guru Take
Yes, you can.
Yes, you can requeste a Lyft for someone else using your app and account. While this sometimes confuses the driver, Lyft encourages you to do so.
You're welcome to request rides for someone else. Enter your friend's address in the app or move the pin to their location, then tap 'Request Lyft.' Call or text your driver to give them a heads up that they'll be picking up your friend and not you. It's also advisable to enter the destination address into the app if you know where your friend is going.
