After arriving at the pickup point, the passenger did cancel the ride and a few seconds later, I saw an Uber vehicle, arriving to pick up the passenger.

I did received the $........ cancelation fee, however, that is not my point.

I believe that when this type of situation arises in the future ( just exactly like this one) the passenger's cancelation fee should be higher?

The cancellation fee is standard. I like that there is no need to explain why you are canceling. I have canceled many times because I was offered a ride too late to not order a ride share, but if you are reliant on other people to get around you accept what you get.

  wait, no. Cancellation Chicken is when a driver and rider faces off to see who cancels first. My bad.
