For Lyft and Uber when you choose your ride it gives you a time of arrival/drop off for example between 7:20 - 7:25. Lyft was arriving earlier to my destination so I chose them. But once I was in the car they picked up more people then first stated and waited ten minutes for someone to get to car and I didn’t arrive until 7:50
Do they guarantee their times or can they just choose anytime to drop you off

Both their apps will underestimate the arrival time to get you to order their service. Best way to check that is to run Google maps yourself and see what it is.
I think these times are more just an estimate, they are not guaranteed. Do you always use Pool/Line? While these services are cheaper you always have to budget for much longer rides!
