Delusional pink moustache! Those numbers are for booked hours, unfortunately rideshare drivers are not on a chess clock! Gross earnings divided by app on hours should at least halve those numbers. Lyft doesn't care about the time when waiting for rides, deadmiling back to civilization after they send the driver to Timbuktu etc. Morons!
Even after cutting mileage rates by 50% last week, Lyft says drivers are making $30 an hour!

I have taken UBER many times. (I'm also an UBER driver). I do not tell the driver that I also drive for UBER. Small conversation - then, do you like driving for UBER? I then ask are you making money? Most say a lot. What BS! I tried UBER for the year 2022. Here are my numbers. Gross earnings $11k, expenses (deducted by UBER), $5k. I now have $6k in the bank. Wait! Now I deduct miles driven, which equated to 4,000 miles. $6,000 less $2,400 = $3,600. I then deduct my phone cost of $100. $3,500 - now I have to pay income taxes to the IRS and the state. I owe almost 40%, which is $1,400. I made $2,100. THE MILEAGE DEDUCTION REPRESENTS GAS, DEPRECIATION ON THE CAR, AND REPAIRS.
I love how they fail to mention that this is gross...
Beyond gross, it's per booked hour, rideshare drivers are not on a chess clock. 😆
well it's their numbers, national average
No it's not. I grossed $11k, and they deducted their fees of $5k. The difference is $6k. Wait - you have to deduct mileage and income taxes. That is what I made.
Please Lyft, show me ONE driver who makes this kind of money 😒
Maybe on Uber:) How can drivers be making $30.00 per hr when pickups are 15/20 min away, rider chose Shared to save .50, the rider goes 3 min up the street and Lyft takes 35/40% of the fare?
