Gas here in Philly and Bucks are paying 2.95 to 3.00 per gallon. Two/three months ago prices were around 2.45/2.55. When I was in NJ I was paying 2.11/2.25. I even seen a few gas stations in Jersey for 2.07. NJ prices are almost as much as Philly 2.77/2.90. Uber is lowering Quest, promotions, consecutive trip bonus, and in some cities per min/mile rates.
It's bad enough they cut rates, take away bonuses, lower quests, but they do nothing when gas has gone up .50 or more per gallon.
Riders, Would you be extremely upset if Uber and Lyft surcharged your trip by 1.00 on short trips 2.00 on medium trips, 3.00 on 45+ min trips to help drivers with gas prices?
Riders, since gas prices are rising everywhere and drivers rates and bonuses are being cut would you be willing to pay a few more $$$ per ride? Do you care at all that the drivers are making less and less money? Or do you just cate that your fare is cheap and thats all that matters to you?
For those RIDERS who generally dont ever tip would you be willing to tip now $1/$3 considering how high gas prices are? If not why not?

Regular in Seattle STARTS at $3.69 /gal with premium topping $4 in some areas. This is out of control, and cuts deeply into drivers "profits."

I came across a video on You Tube I would love for you to watch it and hear what this guy has to say. He is reading an article by rideshare united. Then he goes off article throws in his .2 and says drivers in LAX AP and Airports around the US do not park your vehicles in rideshare lots, I hate to see your vehicle damaged. I commented but never said I was driving he throws up.a reply and says there will be cancellations and other things are planned. Do we live back in 70's/80's where Unions strong armed workers who broke picket lines? How does that make drivers look if they are going to mess with other drivers cars. I heard about some cities are at 4.00 thats awful. Yes, it would not kill Uber or Lyft to charge rider an extra 1.00 or 2.00 only cheapasses wouldnt understand. We will be standing on iff ramps, WaWa's and gas stations with signs saying "I'll work for gas". Lol One of the ride share You Tubers put this up. Unfortunately it must of just got out as its not in every city and right now its just BP Gas Stations. IT's LEGIT! You get .20/.30 off each gallon just for signing up. You get cash back for putting gas in your car, money off for referrals, and cash back on referrals (you can cash out on pay pal or receive gift cards). You can share your code with anyone. Obviously this is awesome for Drivers. Dont understand why more gas stations, car washes, Jiffy Lubes etc... dont offer $ off for Drivers. Some of these places could make a killing for a few $ off. You can use it on groceries and food also. 🤑🤑🤑

They are adding new cities all the time. If its not near you yet check every few days. We didnt have any 2 weeks ago . They just added PA. So far all I see are BP Gas Stations but you have to check your area. At this point Ill take anything I can get. 3.00 to 3.35 (Just seen a 3.35 station). $2.68 in PA with app $2.48 in NJ. NJ is usually .25 to .35 lower than PA but they just taxed it again there. 🤑🤑🤑

That definitely looks like a decent app. Unfortunately it looks like it's only on the east coast. 😒
As far as the strike thing on the 8th, my apps will be off even though Seattle isn't participating. (That said, I also have to admit that I'll be in Hawaii next week, so I was going to be offline anyway)
