Hi, I need an 8 seater vehicle for a Lyft from TF Green Airport to Seekonk around 7pm on a Tuesday in mid July. Can I book ahead, and how much will it cost please?

Booking a Lyft

Currently Lyft's biggest car option can only fit 6 passengers. However, you could order 2 regular Ubers (UberX) or Lyfts that fit 4 passengers each to transfer your party. Uber and Lyft do let you book ahead see the below two articles on how to book your rideshare vehicle ahead of time.

Regarding cost, I would recommend using our Fare Comparison Calculator. Enter in your TO and FROM locations to find all possible ride options for your route (there may be an even better option for you than Lyft or Uber!). Each option will also show you the estimated price for your trip so you can choose the cheapest option and know what to expect.

    You could try one of those limo or airport transfer companies and order a van.  Those vans can accommodate for 8 passengers plus luggage.

        You can always google local companies but if you are coming from farawya, perhaps using sites like Limos.com and Blacklane.com would work out well!

          Hi, thanks for this.  I now have a lift arranged with friends.  Just in case there is a mix-up, can anyone recommend a local firm (in Providence) with an 8-seater vehicle that I could ring to come out right away?

            I have used Knight's Airport Limousine Service in the past from Providence, and they have been great.  I believe they are scheduled rides but they have a big fleet so they should be able to accommodate with limited notice. 

            For taxis, you can call or just go to the taxi queue for Airport Taxi (http://www.airporttaxiri.com).  Getting an 8-seater is tough but in fact, I just checked their website and it says they accommodate large groups with private passenger vans.  It says to call 401-737-2868 Extension 1.
