Inconsistent Pricing
Were you using the same Lyft service for both rides? The fare will vary if you use LyftLine for one ride and regular Lyft for the other.
Even if they were the same, there may be a few reasons for this increase in price:
First, some rides leaving from the airport will incur an airport charge fee. This fee is attached to rides leaving the airport for all passengers because certain rideshare companies get charged extra for operating at airports. This article shows general airport pickup policies.
Additionally, your return ride may have included tolls that were not included in the first ride, which would lead to an increase in price as well.
