No, not typically. Riding alone is perfectly fine.
No, there is no mininum number of riders in most cases. This is true with rideshares like Uber and Lyft, and this is also true for rides with taxis and limos. As long as you are present, you are good!
One thing to point out that the cost of a ride is the same, regardless of how many people are in the group. As long as you are paying for the trip, your driver will be good.
In a "shared ride" like UberPool, there may be other riders and you can bring a friend with you. However, even if you don't have a friend and the driver does not pick up another passenger, your ride will still be honored.
