I have used Lyft plenty of times but for some reason it will not use my card anymore. It is a prepaid card but they've always used it before and for some reason it no longer works on the app. The biggest issue I have is that no one there seems to want to solve the problem. I've called the bank connected to the card and they have said that everything is fine on their end. I've tweeted and emailed Lyft and all they do is send me the same pre-written response. Any ideas? I want to continue to use them as I don't drive and they are cheaper than a taxi but they don't seem to want my business.
Lyft won't help me solve this problem despite the fact that i want to use their services.
The Guru Take
Getting in contact with Lyft
If you would like to talk to a customer service representative from Lyft, you can call this number 855-865-9553. Hopefully they will be responsive in giving you information about why your card no longer works through the app. Good luck!
Lyft does indeed support Prepaid Cards...
I am sorry to hear that, Jennifer. Yes, Lyft does accept prepaid cards as a payment method as stated here: https://help.lyft.com/hc/en-us/articles/213581408-How-to-add-or-update-payment-info
You are correct that the main phone number now redirects users to their help site. This was due to a large volume of calls they were receiving. You can still talk to them, but the process is different. You must visit help.lyft.com, submit your case, and then click on "Call Me." One of Lyft customer service reps is supposed to follow up after that.
I was also told that you can email them at [email protected], but people seem to have differing level of success.

Same here theyve been throwing my business to uber for 6 months bc the app will not take any of my 4 cards even chase bank. Their app sucks so hard theyre handing half thier clients to uber by default of the app not booking the ride on a good card.
Thanks for your response but that number no longer works. Threr is just a recording that gives you the website and then hangs up on you.
