What is the difference between using uber or taxi in marseille? I read that Taxi Radio Marseille or the Les Taxis Marseillais also have apps that allow prebooking and previewing of taxi fare before booking the taxi.

    I have never been to Marseille, so I cannot speak from experience but I can tell you in general why riders tend to choose Uber over taxi or vice versa. 

    The Uber app is nice and streamlined and works around the world (you do not need to download a new app in every city you visit). Also the Uber app allows you to request a car on demand where most taxi apps only let you schedule a car in advance.

    On the flip side, many people feel as though taxi cabs are the safer option as generally taxi drivers have to go through more stringent background checks.

    Also, Uber tends to be cheaper than most taxi cabs - you can use the fare calculator on this site to verify if this is the case for Marseille.
