The Guru Take
What is Uber Eats? It is a food delivery service.
What is Uber Eats?
Uber Eats (or UberEats) is Uber's food delivery service based on their driver network and app-based dispatch platform. Using the app, you can connect with local participating restaurants, place your order, and have Uber drivers pick the food up and drop it off.
Uber Eats is under a different app for consumers and restaurants. It is the same app for Uber drivers.
How much does it cost?
For each order, you'll pay for the cost of the food, an Uber Eats booking fee, and any applicable taxes. The price is set by the local restaurants, and it can be different than their regular menu.
How much commissions do restaurants pay?
Uber says the rate can vary for different restaurants and markets. However, we have heard from the restaurants that they pay out about 30% of the total order. (which goes to Uber and drivers.)
