Where do drivers wait between fares? Random parking lots? Where do you go to the bathroom?

The Guru Take

Most drivers will wait on side streets, parking lots or just drive around while waiting for a fare.  The smart ones though will stay put in one place since they don't get paid for driving around.  I only make a move while I'm waiting if I think it will give me a better chance of getting a ride (ie a move to a busier area).

Bathroom breaks are actually a big issue for drivers since it's important to stay hydrated while driving, but conversely, that also means you have to pee more often!  I've been known to use alleyways, trees and even the occasional water bottle but the best places to use the bathroom late night are places like hotels, Starbucks and McDonalds.

    I have a friend who drilled a hole in his floor of his car stuck a tube through it with a funnel and peed in it . people would tell him that he's losing antifreeze

    This is hilarious.  I love the thought that normal people think drivers are doing something special, like going ot a magical place, when they are giving rides.   

    Taxi drivers drive back and forth where they may catch a fare.  Rideshare drivers just park against a curb, quietly, and wait...

    I'm an expert in peeing in a bottle I've been doing it for 30 years. as far as hanging out waiting for a fare I like to go someplace that's quiet and easy to move out and pick up the next fair as soon as possible
