Yeah, the 360 is definitely what you need. plus in-cabin sound.
In some markets, Uber and Lyft are trying to show even less, where they don't even show you how far the pickup is. Tough, huh? They do this to reduce the chance of drivers cherrypicking.
Ironically, at the same time, they are also experimenteing showing the exact location of the rider AND showing the destination - all before accepting the ride. This will greatly help the drivers, of course, but there are usually a high bar for acceptance rates. This "gift' won't be available for drivers who cherry pick too much.
Guys, this can happen to anyone in any profession. If you start doubting evey person who provides you service, say a pizza delivery boy or a mail carrier, you would be paralyzed.
Nothing is 100% folks. It's just a market trend to cast fear on everything Uber. Can we stay real, please.
Is this news? Who cares about the second place.
These things go fast though. look at the video. They can cause serious bodily harm, and it can be a real accident.
What we need to remember is that these things are not regulated. Sure, we equate them to walking, riding a bike, skateboarding, but the damage that can be caused by these things are way worse. ...and people are riding these things on the sidewalks.
"Hiddn Metric." Hahaha.
Technically that's not bodily fluids...It's just regurgitated food.
Two?! It feels like a step backwards
I laughed way too hard for this one.
Ironic. I feel like murder is what I am signing up for every time I take a cab.
No there is this concept of utilization (essentially how busy the drivers are) and this affects the amount of money Uber has to pay out. There are incentives eto keep the drivers busy and to keep their number low.
That's the whole argument and goal to reduce the number of cars.
That's multiple weeks of working for nothing.
I'd imagine this can happen if you were renting a car, and you didn't work for some reason. There can. E legitimate reason too, like the rental car being in the shop.
They fixed this, right? This is the coordinated mass switch-off trick by the drivers?
No, I now remember. This was a myth. No driver groups could manipulate the surge or something. I read an announcement by Uber. Yeah...Uber.. fake news?
Wow. Super curious as to how they will implement this. This will set the precendence for everywhere.
I will assume this is a serious question.
GPS enabled app where rider location and driver location are transparent. Cashless transactions. Records of everything that happens, including routes on a map, payments, messages, etc.
..and the fact that it's like 50% cheaper on an UberX.
WHAT. That's pure evil.
Is this only for the autonomous cars?
Insead of quiet mode, can we first make them not run over people and plow through bicycles? Too much to ask?
so mean.
Dude, what's wrong with you. I know we all hate Uber but this one is for safety. 12 hour limit that doesn't include the times you've gone offline (i.e. to take a break) sounds pretty reasonable to me.
Is this spam?
Is it like rideshare for movers?
