How come Didi has so many different names like Didi Kuaidi, Didi Dache and Didi Chuxing?

All names of the rideshare service app under the company Beijing Xiaoju Keji.
In short, they are all the names for the same rideshare service operating in China. It is currently known as Didi Chuxing, or more commonly nicknamed as, "Didi," but it was called Didi Kuaidi before the company rebranded itself in 2016.
Didi Dache and Kauidi Dache are the names of its predecessors, two services/apps that merged to create Didi Kuadi in February 2015.
Timeline:
- June 2012: Didi Dache (meaning "Beep Beep Call a Taxi") opened in June 2012. They were backed up by the investor Tencent in November of 2012.
- August 2012: Kuaidi Dache opened in August 2012. They were backed up by the investor Alibaba.
- February 2015: Didi Dache and Kuaidi Dache merged to create Didi Kuaidi in February 2015.
- September 2015: Didi Kuaidi rebranded itself as Didi Chuxing in September 2015.

- Didi also has investment stakes in companies like Grab, Lyft, Ola, Uber, 99, Taxiy and Careem.

I swear at one point they named their app DIDI ONE, just another name to confuse people. I can't find mention of it now though...

Probably paid Russia to get rid of all past mentions of DIDI ONE once they realized the name sucked.
