  Are you entering a future time, like scheduling a ride?  It may be that it costs more if you are closer to the time.

  For Lyft, if you are willing to wait, they give you a discount.

  I used to do this growing up with a local taxi driver. I was in middle school or high school (?) and my parents would give me a $20 the nights they were out. Then I'd call the dude, he picks up the food and brings it over. In the 80s. I guess I was ahead of the times.

  This brings up a slightly deeper topic. I feel people nowadays forget food delivery has always existed. Have you heard of pizza and Chinese delivery.

  Can you sue them? When an employee is wrongfully terminated, he or she has the right to sue the company. They have to be able to provide their reasoning.

  Yeah, but it doesn't mean they follow the rules. I am sure these guidelines are a joke to those drivers who prefer to not wear one. All they care is to not be reported so they can continue to get paid.

  I didn't know the policy was that detailed though.  Thanks for the note. I feel slightly better.

  This is becoming a real problem. You know there are people out there who don’t wear masks. Uber drivers represent a good portion of the population and there definitely are those who don’t wear them.  They may do it for various reasons such as not believing in it, having some political stance, and whatever else.

  This made me gross out. So the truth is that they probably don't put on their mask until the rider is about to get in the car. There must be covid vapors and droplets everywhere when I get in the car then.

  Maybe an improved guideline is needed where they need to open the window for 20 seconds before arriving at location. or they must have the "outside air" on.

  I mean, seriously.

  well, that is the issue though. Taxis are facing a disruption and there is no "stability" that you speak of anymore.
