   6 years ago in  Do Uber drivers give negative reviews (1-star ratings) for short trips? I know they don't like them.

  I don't mark down riders for taking short trips.  All customers welcome.  More riders the better, and these same people will take longer trips too.

  If Uber could raise the minimum fare a bit, maybe it'll help.  Discourage peole from taking trips that are literally 0.5 mile long  Yes, it happens.  and I get why pax wants to do it.  Wouldn't you sometimes for $3?

  Right, but it's more like 4.50 to 4.80.  So, I guess a 30 point system.  I see your point.

  Then again, the granulairty to which the drivers can vote is lacking, right?  They can only vote whole numbers. 1 to 100.

  Told a differnet way, maybe she was a hero stopping crime like a 007.  I mean, every hero movie involves stealing cars. Who's to say she wasn't doing all these to do good deeds. I mean why would she try so hard?

   6 years ago in  Is driving for uber and lyft safe? I keep hearing these horror stories of drivers getting shot because passengers get angry.

  Here I thought it was the drivers shooting riders?  I mean why would passengers be shooting riders?  They are the ones who called  one because he needs a ride.

  I've never heard of people preying on a service provider.  Isn't it usually the other way?  (drivers become drivers to become a stalker.)

  I've had this happen to me not once but twice.  It was a cute middle aged couple.  Super friendly.  I felt it was slightly weird, but I didn't mind.  The wife tagged along on a shift they told me.
