  Thanks for the help Bob, I am new to Uber driving(only 5 weeks as of 4-18-19). I called Uber support and asked for help stateside. Ren, the supervisor in the Phillipines, told me that she was the boss of all bosses everywhere.  She did tell me I could drive to Rochester, NY, which is about 4 hours away(I think), and ask for their help.  I thanked her and she cut me off, saying she was the final arbiter for all things Uber.  PS. I forgot to mention that Ren over-ruled the previous Uber rep, Al, that I talked to on Monday, April 1st. Who had told me to expect my $30 repayment in 48 hours. So after I called back 72 hours later, on Thursday, I was told that Al would be given a lecture and re-training in Uber policy! Thanks again Bob😊

  Also, I forgot to mention, that as NY Uber drivers, we are not allowed to pick up customers in Vermont. So we have to pay the return ferry toll ($10.75) and dead-head back to NY. If we go the long way, it takes about an hour and a half as opposed to 45 minutes on the ferry.  With paying the return fare ourselves, the trip over is just not worth it. So, how do I explain all this nicely and not get into trouble? Thank You!😊

  How do I tell customers that Uber will not charge them for taking the ferry from NY to Vermont?  They need to pay the ferry tolls (which is $20 for a car and two passengers) or we go the long way around Lake Champlain, which is about an extra 40 miles. I have made this trip , paid the ferry tolls and Uber refused to reimburse me each time. I talked to the Uber supervisor in the Philippines ( the highest ranking supervisor there, according to her) and they told me they have no knowledge of such a ferry and basically just eat it. I don’t think this is fair, so unless people want to go the long way - I am gonna have to refuse nice people a ride. What do you think? How should I do this?
