  Hi Felicity, Goodideasll (Lou) , here again, just watching some basketball and catching up on my industry reading - not gonna disparage RedANT or his opinion but we all have problems and I completely believe you were in the right. Yes, you may not be perfect, (only my Wife is!),  but your driver was over the top wrong and aggressive and I still apologize on behalf of all of us. If I am wrong, I know that you will let me know - okay, I know that is very sarcastic but I also know that RedANTand MOMOF4 are good people, so, like every good story, we shall endeavour to carry on!   Thanks DDominico- I was gonna say, “Whatchu talking about Willis?” - that 20 min , 1 mile scenario just happened to me about 2 weeks ago AND Uber sent me down the wrong street for an extra 5 minutes.  Drove the lady about 1.2 miles and headed back toward Plattsburgh - a 35 mile trip and about an hour for $8.00 ! Thanks Uber!😊How do you know to turn down these kind of pick-ups except for turning down ALL pick-ups more than ‘X’ amount of minutes away?

  Hi bBerman81, I wanted to work too but one of the things I have learned by being old (58, 18 years older than I ever imagined I would be!), is that, I can live with my conscience a lot better by stepping back and trying to do the right thing. Not gonna judge those people out trying to earn, they’ll figure out what’s right and wrong - all on their own! Thanks bBerman,  Good Luck To You!🙂

  Thank You BGraft89! I think you hit the nail right on the head !! Personally, I think that Uber and whoever took my money are full of crap - they just took my money, no details, nothing correlates to any of my rides and all they say is that I took the wrong rider somewhere, sometime! (And they NEVER respond to any of my queries!) Plus, every time they promised me reimbursed money, they reneged on their word and never paid me and then blamed the first tier clerk whom they say promised me money erroneously - BIG FAT LIARS!  Thusly, I Place no faith in anything Uber says and does and just wrote off the $5.27 they took from me! Other than that, I Love working for Uber!  PS I think Momo/Mom is pretty Awesome!  Thanks again BGraft!🙂

  Hi Mom, Lou here!😊I must have had a few cocktails when I first responded to your kind posts on here - but at the time , I thought your handle was Momo and I still think of you like that!  Do you remember ‘Get Shorty’? I don’t think you look like that but I just like the name ‘Momo’! Is that okay ? PS I took off from driving yesterday, for the ‘cause’, and coincidentally Uber gave me my first chargeback of $5.27 on a $7.92 fare that they say I picked up the wrong person - even though the ride they gave me that they deducted from was 4 hours later! Go figure! 😊Hope You and Yours are well!😊

  Very true Stuffin, well said!😊I have found that on my best days I am far from perfect but on my really bad days - there is definitely a lot of room to be much better!   Hi Joseph, you may be right! Thanks for the insightful thoughts! It has been my experience that trying to get my rides to match up with where I want to go has been very hit-or-miss, usually miss - so eight hours to get half an hour as the crow flies by your calculations may be about right !👍

  How do you make yourself block it out? Eventually I have to look at it and if it has dropped I then start wondering - and then I get supremely annoyed - pissed off!  Does anybody else get annoyed at this - you try everything in your arsenal to get a smile or a kind word out of somebody and they completely stonewall you. That’s okay but then when we ride along in silence,  and I wish them a ‘very happy day’ at journey’s end, somehow I think they’re gonna take their crappy mood out on me with a low rating, even though it’s not my (our) fault!

  I read the article, very interesting but the article did tell us drivers were coming from Modesto and even Sacramento, both cities less than two hours away. I would have liked to read what person would drive eight hours to get to San Francisco and from where. I don’t believe that - there has to be a large city a lot closer to them than that. Guess we’ll never know! Anybody have any guesses?
