Why doesn’t Uber and Lyft Take Into Account Extreme Weather Like A Blizzard When Charging Customers For Rides? Here’s the story - we got 3 to 5 inches of snow this morning and the roads were terrible. Now, I have no trouble driving under poor road conditions because my truck ( a Chevy Tahoe) has 4 wheel drive. My vehicle gets around real well but other traffic on the roads do not. Plus, my normal 7 minute trip now takes about double that and yet I only make the same $3.66 on Uber (or $3.90 on Lyft) minimum that I get when it is not snowing. Alright, I know people have to get places whether it is snowing or not but when you consider that my chances of an accident are far greater in bad weather, why shouldn’t I get at least double under these conditions? I worked about an hour this morning and gave up - it’s just not worth it. Tomorrow we are supposed to get up to 15 inches of snow and yet , Uber and Lyft will pay us exactly the same. Does anybody have any suggestions? We live in upstate New York and from dealing with Uber and Lyft for a long time up here, we know that Uber  and Lyft could care less about anything that has to do with us up here. We are used to that but maybe somebody, somewhere may have something to help us . Thank you for reading and Thank You for trying to help! And, Let’s Be Careful Out There! Aloha from Plattsburgh, NY ( 2-6-20)

It seems as though when the weather is horrible, uber takes 50% and lyft lowers the price :(
