When Your Uber Driver REALLY Wants Five Stars [Funny or Die]
-
Can You Find Love in a Rideshare?
I've been around the block too many times, and I just can't help noticing that this topic comes up for … -
Hey passengers. What creative amenities or extras do you wish your UberX drivers offered?
Water, gum, mints, umbrella, ponchos, aux cable, and charging cables. I have heard those. Anything extra you want? I am …
Uber: you are guilty until proven innocent.
In fact, you are always guilty. Why? Because we said so.
Here's a tip. though I am totally joking.

Can't this be classified as two friends who decided to make an arrangement, and one person just paying the other person as a thank-you?
All you have to do is to pull Forest Gump and introduce yourself to the passenger. "We ain't strangers no more."
Sorry, bro. That’s pretty crappy because one thing that’s supposed to be great about then is that you can reserve them. That’s a total fail.
Way behind Lyft. How can they drop the ball like this.
Now there will be a precedence with Lyft by the time they go public. If lyft gets crushed then itll kill all the excitement and ruin the hype
Of course those who’ll lose are the loaded private equity firms, investors, etc. none that we care about. So whatever.
So you rented their car in 2017 and you are still dealing with this?
Also, you say, "last year." You better get on that or everyone will claim they don't remember the incident and you will never be able to reverse it. I feel like speed matters here.
Why would people request for dudes? Oh, that was a serious question but I now realize people who think men are better drivers would. I am not sure if that really crosses people's mind, but then again, maybe I am giving them too much credit.
So are you in the camp of people who believe "Can I request a female driver" is just as sexist and discriminatory?
The way you start your post remind me of Louis CK's "Of course! ...but maybe..." bit.
Wow, that's a lot of miles. It's definitely 10s of thousands for me. A few hundred thousands return? I'd take it.
I mean, if I don't, then what? It's not like they'd treat me like an employee back to 2013. Even if they did, why would I want that?
They are starting to get real weird about keeping drivers on the road. Whatever happened to the classic supply-and-demand model where they controlled the # of drivers through surges.
I miss those simpler times.
ripping off? Uber is so cheap compared to taxis. Taxis still hasn't lowered their rates. What are they talking about.
I think they have it mistaken. Uber is ripping off its drivers. Not consumers. Consumers are reaping the benefits of subsidized rides.
It’s a gig economy. You work when you wanna. Doesn’t change anything for me.
I did hear that the drivers are hurting in places like DC, Albany, and Sacramento where the government has big presence.
All I got are stupid stickers. Uber doesn't love me enough to send me one of those cool beacons.
If you are stopping more than 2 along the way, I think you are doing it wrong.
I mean, an UberX can only fit four people. So really, you can never stop more than 3 times to pick up passengers, and that seems like an extreme case. Heck, if you really have three friends you want to pick up, I will do it. Good for you for having so many friends. What a coordination!
They have new driver material?! Uber doesn’t. Hahaha
I am sure this kid was instructed to not touch the protestors, until... Then when he saw it happen, he didn't exericse any brain cells and just decided to take him out completely.
Look at the smug look on his face. A smile even.
No, dude. 4.34 is awful. Some drivers shun and decline pickup if you are below 4.50
4.2 on 10 rides mean you got two 1-star ratings. Could just be bad luck.
In AU and NZ, they are thinking about deactivating riders with anything lower than 4.0. So you are still safe!
Uber is so good at releasing things in phases, why couldn't they have done that here? Work out the kinks in a localized market. This payment glitch is a pretty big blunder.
One may say this is just Silicon Valley start-up, but we are talking about people's livelihood, folks.
This is old news, mate. We knew they've been coming since last year. Huge war ahead!
