I actually want new drivers to take this as an advice. Don't pick up crappy riders. Cancel immediately.
This technically isn't cancelling a ride mid-ride, but I went to the mall to go pick up this woman on a Thursday night. There was some traffic and some confusion as to which exit she was waiting. When I pulled up, she started berating me for being late and started to nag. I knew this would be a $5.00 1-star ride. So you know what I did? I told her to get out of the car and cancelled it. Don't need this crap.
Why is this a good advice? Because if you don't start the ride, those crappy passengers cannot give you a 1-star rating.
So...
Level 1 is cuirse control. I already have an autonomous car!!
You forgot Autonomous Cars and Robotic Cars.

People do this all the time. You just have to drop the pin where your friend is.
I don't know the official stance on this, but I have called one for my wife from a different city. It worked.
One thing to remember is that your drive may know there's something amiss. I a not sure if he or she cares though.
I don't have that problem.
Drivers usually are trained to do this anyways, not to see if your cable is gone but to see if the rider left anything.
With that said, I have had my share of people leave stuff in the back of mine, so I guess I don't follow that procol well either.
Nah. Maybe not at airports, but my riders would definitely know it'd be pin-coded, so they wouldn't take it. that's good. I'd imagine this would also prevent your friends from "accidentally" taking it too.
What's Curb.
j/k. LOL. No, seriously. that's just taxis, isn't it.
They have been pouring marketing dollars in promoting riders. Slightly different approach than Uber who continues to invest dollars in grabbing drivers.
I have never driven for Lyft. No luxury option.
taxi driver. deniro.
probably too young to know what I am talking about.
You lookin' at me?
breitbart. LOL.
If the dude is carrying a gun legally, I don't think you can tell the person to get out. I don't think it's theoretically discrimination but I don't think this gives you the right to kick him out of the car.
Prediction: BMW will realize that the vehicles must be habitable for passengers not just machines.
I mean....look at this:
Not sure about New Year's but I've been making minimum wage in January. I haven't seen any surge and the demand has been low Typical january though. Gotta wait for kids to go back to school.
Uber is the most popular in Orlando.
With that said, there are lots of mom & pops taxi companies in Orlando. If you want personalized service and some consistencies in your driver and whom you work with, you might as well call one of those local companies and build a relationship.
Well, if it were just talking about the "on-demand" capabilities of rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, then the traditional limos should be able to do the same thing. (despite the adoption may be a problem. Using the apps is super easy, instead of calling your cars.)
Use COMMON SENSE, please
You need to own your car or at least have your name on the insurance. at least for uber in new york. no free lunches there. i think a lot people do it though.
here's another potential. and more likely too.
Uber prices out all other competitions and end up having a monopoly. Then they can do wahtever they want with their prices.
This will prove the recent rumblings about whether Uber's business model is legit or not. Are they really a legitimate and profitable business? or are they just on a mission to make taxis go bankrupt by waging an unreasonable price war.
