Are rideshare companies doing enough to ensure the safety of child riders?
This is kind of an eye-opening read. Drivers for popular rideshare providers Uber and Lyft don’t believe the companies are …
Yeah I'm not sure where this person gets that from. Uber isn't buying out those medallions. And even if they were, if they are doing it at a fair price, isn't that a positive for these guys?
This situation is messy as all get out. Local governments need to be held accountable.
You call it genius. I call it monstrous. For crying out loud can we just have one place without ads.
If a driver tries to sell me something in his or her car, they get a 1 star rating. Sorry. I'm trying to go somewhere, not buy something.
they should make designated places for rideshare drivers to hang out while waiting for a ride. Like taxi stands. They do this at airports and it seems to work ok. At least then people aren't just driving around aimlessly waiting for a fare.
I can't even keep track of all of these companies now. But it seems like Uber is definitely going to be facing some big challengers in the coming few years. Didi and Ola are huge, and are making big plays. Europe is another breeding ground. Lyft is gaining ground on their home turf.
Yeah. Uber's gotta be runnig scared, and as you rightly point out they are spending a lot of effort fixing their PR problem at home. I'm sure Dara's got his eye on all of this but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Horrible. Hope they find the guy and do whatever it is they do to people like that to him.
He clearly meant "is 40 good for your tip?" what a generous dude. :D
Super low. 20% is standard for services in most cities these days.
Also consider that they've had a huge leadership shakeup in the last year. Maybe the new team and the work towards the new image just isn't cutting it... Maybe all of their gross business practices before now were working for them...
need more details. There is more to the story here taht they are not telling us
Admit it. It was your poo.
Didi is becoming a huge player. they are expanding too. Mexico, Australia. Uber must be sweating...
Wow. That seems a bit steep. I assume it gets passed on to the passenger.
well they haven't killed anyone yet so there's that.
I'm amazed at the Waymo stat. 5600 miles without someone intervening?? damn.
LOL this is hilarious.
Not to mention you might not get a tip. At least traditional delivery drivers are almost always tipped. I think people feel like they don't have to tip uber drivers and that carries over into uber eats.
Really want to hear from Uber how this could have happened. I thought these cars were supposed to have super sensors that could see better than humans.
I hope your snack supply was on point.
"Uber minus app is basically just another taxi service"
What's your point? That's true whether they are taking an elderly person to the doctor or a millenial to work in the morning.
Does insurance cover this I wonder?
