I’m so frustrated, sometimes I can’t complete pickup of a passenger without

A numerical code got by the pass. One of two riders found it, the other

Rider refused to help me at all. At that point I drove her to work. Uber says I should have gotten pass to cancel and rescheduled. Therefore, I don’t get paid.

If I can’t find away to get that code if the pass doesn’t give it to the driver. They don’t know, and aren’t properly taught how, where to find code in pass ap.is this NOT a new rule where can I , as a driver need more information. I can’t find anything about passenger identification codes given to pass. And to give number to driver or no ride.

If this is the code for safety here is my experience. If its the code for the airport rides I dont have a clue. It is not in my area but somehow a few months ago it came up on 2 of my trips. 1st trip it wouldnt work but I drove the rider anyway. Got to destination, the app allowed me to start and then end it. I did get paid. Next trip it worked just fine. When the passenger comes up to car you swipe send code, it is sent to passengers phone (I heard it notify their phone), they give you the number, you enter it and Uber allows you to start trip. This was put into place because of people getting into random cars that are not even Ubers and it helps connect you with correct rider. I know Uber started another type of code thing at certain airports. Those cides I know nothing about. Call Uber driver support or go to HUB. I have messaged them but took 3 weeks for an actual person to call me back.

Yeah, I read somewhere that riders are displayed the instructions on how it works.  I am more than 100% sure that most riders don't bother to read that.

Ironically, the new Uber users may read it more. The experienced users would just request and look away.

Are you in Portland?!  Oh, man, I feel bad for you. We don't have that issue in Boston ...yet.

Make sure to raise a huge fuss, so it doesn't make it here.  It's currently in trial mode, I believe.
