Arizona Drivers Licence for Lyft

I am trying to sign up to drive for Lyft but my drivers licence does not expire until 2058. The drop down menu for the year on the application only goes to 2033 so there is no way for me to accurately input my drivers licence info. I have reached out to a local Lyft representative and he has been trying to fix the problem but hasn’t successfully done so as of this writing and he has made several attempts. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem with an Arizona licence and has come up with a solution. Thanks!

Hey, I just went through the application process to see, and for me the license expiration dropdown went all the way up to 2078. Maybe the fixed it? Try again today?

My god. 2058?? That's crazy. Here in MA they expire I think every 5 years. That way they can collect more fees from us every 5 years, it's awesome.

I'm really surprised Lyft hasn't solved this issue though, since, I mean, there must be other Lyft drivers from Arizona right?

I'll pass on my usual advice in cases like this: tweet at them. If you make the problem public on twitter you will have better luck getting it taken care of. No guarantee they'll respond but doesn't hurt to try that avenue.

I thought it was every 10.  No, it's five but you have ten for new photos.

OMG... 2058?  In 2058 I'll hit 100 years old and most probably won't be around to renew my license.  frown

Personally I would just put in 2033 and hope for the best.

Yeah, I agree with that.  Since you are not getting anywhere reaching out to them, so let Lyft handle the problem.   Make it their problem by entering what you can, and they can investigate.

I’m pretty sure that the background check would not good through if I put a different year because the info wouldn’t add up. I don’t want to risk failing the background check just because of that.

Can't you just enter 2028 and call it good?

Just call. There are a lot of issues that they will allow you to call about. They even changed my registration for me (different license plate number) while I waited on the phone.
