Got into an uber as a passanger, not the person who put request into uber, i was in front seat with bouquet of flowers. Driver said his uber license fell into bouquet....i looked , nothing but flowers were there, he said it did fall in so I looked again. Then driver put light on and still the was no paper license, then i gave him flowers to let him look himself & was told by driver that i, a 67 year old woman, was disrepecting him. I got out of car, the other passangers, 2, 75 year old women, insisted that he take them to their destination. Upon arrival he called police believing i had his license & police came in to restaurant took flowers to check themselves...how outrageous. Again there was no license, the driver then stalked me for about an hour waiting for me to come out of resturant. Uber does not have a platform if you are not a paying customer, so there is no one but police to contact......why???

67 year old woman
I was in an Uber in nyc & the driver ACCUSED me of stealing his Uber license, he said it fell into a bouquet of flowers & then told me I was being respectful to him. He was young I am old. He then called police and had the police come into restaurant, as we are celebrating a 74th birthday party & took flowers & looked for license. He then stalked me for close to an hour before he retreated. Uber needs to inform drivers that the driver is supposed to be respectful not to expect bad behavior being accepted.

Strange thing to happen. Didnt know they even used paper drivers license anymore. Did the flowers knock his license off dashboard? Maybe he taped his license on dash? Didnt taxi drivers have to do that a long time ago? I am confused you didnt order the Uber? The ladies in back or someone that wasnt with you ordered it? You stated you got out of car but 2 other ladies insisted he take you to destination. I assume you got back in car? All 3 went to restaurant where police came in and searched your flowers? What city is this? I assume since you stated the driver stalked you you seen him sitting outside waiting? Did you call the police? I would be nervous if I had the earlier encounter and then seen the guy sitting outside for an hour. Probably would've called police. Maybe he was waiting for his next ride? What did he do when you came out? Were you afraid to leave? Did you have to Uber home? Were you not afraid you would get same driver? Why didnt the person who ordered the Ube…

That's funny. Why would he think you were stealing his license anyway? Seems paranoid. Sorry you had to deal with that. Not a fun situation. Most uber drivers would handle that a lot better, like realize that they probably just lost the license on the floor or something but there are always the weirdos and I wish uber would screen them out better.
