No, there are no fees for stops.
Uber and Lyft drivers are paid, for the most part, by the time and distance of the trip. There is an initial minimum fee for simply picking you up, but there are no additional fees for additional stops or pickups.
Of course, the time and distance it takes to pick up your friend will be charged accordingly.
