Apparently the lyft driver claims the passenger gradded his steering wheel so he ordered him out of his car on the freeway where the passenger was struck and killed.

If this happened with an Uber driver it would be much bigger news. The media loves to hate uber.
whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? poor driver. for all we know, it was completely self-defense. think that dude wo got punched int he head by a subway executive.
always have backward dashcam, folks.
There will definitely be more to this story. Autopsy results, if it ever gets released, will clear some things up. I'd hate to say it but there must be some fault on this dude who died. and quite possibly drunk. A driver wont randomly pepper-spray a paying customer who is sitting behind him, while he is driving, risking his own life while at it.
Not to mention that the man was hit on a freeway..and I don't think that happens taht easily. "I'd hate to say it" (hehe), but a grown man, unless he is drunk, probably can survive standing on the side of a highway. I mean, he even had a cell phone.
No matter who was at fault, this is so sad. :(
How can Lyft fire anyone if none of the drivers work for them? They are all independent contractors.
All drivers have Lyft, Uber, and whatever else apps installed. This dude just lost one of his apps.
actually, if you look closely, it says Uber also deactivated his account. back to being a taxi driver.
So terrible. :(
