Hey RG fans and drivers,

We recently partnered with Cargo, the in-car vending machine, to help drivers make a few extra bucks risk free. We have had a few drivers test it out so far and the results have been pretty positive (most drivers talk about how riders are always intrigued to see the Cargo vending machine). We would love to get more feedback on Cargo from all our forum users! Of course, in full disclosure, if you use our referral link to sign up for Cargo we will get a kickback but hey, we have to keep this site running somehow :)

I do it.  Mostly it's just giving away the free stuff, cargo includes free stuff in their boxes and of course the cheap pax love this. I have only had a handful of people actually buy things but regardless you get a little kickback even if riders take the free stuff so it's worth it IMO.

They pay you for giving away the free stuff? How does that work?

What they say is about right. around $100/month.  It's fine. Pax like it. A little extra cash is welcome.

Does anyone else think it would be super annoying to have a box in-between your front seats? I mean I put my elbow there all the time and store a s**t ton of stuff in that compartment.

I would not like to carry food items in the car, leaving them there overnight on hot day/night can make the food go bad, lawsuit coming :)

also would not want to attract attention of some idiot who will break my window in search of some snacks in the open

My elbow has a designated spot on the arm wrest console so I absolutely need that area to be free of stuff :)

Super interesting thought re: leaving food in car on hot day. I guess cargo expects you to take the box in and out of the car if you live in an extreme climate area? Or do they sell things that would be ok in high heat?

Ya I think the idea is you take the box in and out with you, its not that big so pretty easy IMO. I guess you could leave it in your car but LG-PA makes some great points hence why I take my box with me into my house at the end of a shift.

I believe the box straps on so you can still open that compartment no problem. As for your elbow, IDK, rest it on the box?!

They need an option that attaches to the back of the front seat. Though maybe they are scared of people stealing stuff.

Ya, I am not strong willed enough for Cargo, I would eat all those snacks myself on day 1 😂. Wait maybe I should do it, I would get a kickback for eating my own snacks...
